The first trailer for Ocean's 8 is finally here

Cape Town – Hot on the heels of the poster release of Ocean’s 8 Warner Bros released the first trailer for the movie.

The clip opens with Debbie (Sandra Bullock), Danny Ocean’s (George Clooney) estranged sister, at what looks to be a parole hearing where she motivates her release.

But what the parole board doesn’t know is that Debbie will attempt to pull off the biggest heist ever at the Met Gala. 

Her first stop is to assemble the perfect crew: Lou (Cate Blanchett), Amita (Mindy Kaling) a counterfeit jewellery designer, Nine Ball (Rihanna) who seems to be a hacker, Rose (Helen Bonham Carter) a fashion designer, Tammy (Sarah Paulson) a retired thief, Constance (A wkwafina) a petty thief and Daphne Kluger (Anne Hathaway) a somewhat celeb. 

What follows is a montage of scenes of how they plan and execute the job.

Tucked away in the clip is a scene of Debbie sitting in front of a memorial plague with Danny’s name which suggests that he has died.
