The trailer for the Maya Angelou doccie will give you goosebumps

Cape Town – The inspiring life of poet and civil rights activist Dr Maya Angelou is profiled in a new documentary.

Maya Angelou: And Still I Rise celebrates her life through photographs, home movies and videos showing her as a dancer, actress and singer. 

It also features interviews with her son Guy Johnson,  Bill Clinton, Hillary Clinton and Oprah Winfrey. 

In 2015 the filmmakers launched a crowdfunding campaign in which they raised over $153 000 for the film.

The film is set to be released in the US in October.
