In Arrival the actress plays linguist Louise Banks, a member of an elite team who are called in to investigate when a spacecraft touches down on earth.
As mankind teeters on the verge of global war, Banks and the team race against time for answers – and to find them, she will take a chance that could threaten her life, and quite possibly humanity.
The film also stars Jeremy Renner and Forest Whitaker.
