WATCH: This spin-off trailer will get all the Harry Potter fans excited!

Cape Town – J.K Rowling made every fan happy when she announced the Harry Potter spin-off Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.

The first trailer for the much anticipated movie has just been released.

The film is set in 1920s New York 70 years before Harry Potter and his friends arrive at Hogwarts.

Eddie Redmayne stars as Newt Scamander a magizoologist who travels the globe encountering and documenting "a myriad of magical creatures."

The film is set to be released in cinemas in November 2016.
