WATCH: Thor fights The Hulk in first teaser for Ragnarok

Cape Town – The first trailer for Thor: Ragnarok is finally here!

Just last month Entertainment Weekly released a first look feature of all the characters. 

Thor (Chris Hemsworth) with his new short do, the villainous Hela (Cate Blanchett) and Grandmaster (Jeff Goldblum).

And now we finally get a taste of them in action. 

This time around Thor is imprisoned on the other side of the universe without his mighty hammer. He is in a race against time to get back to Asgard to stop Ragnarok – the destruction of his homeworld and the end of Asgardian civilisation – at the hands of Hela.

But first he must survive a deadly gladatorial contest that pits him against his former ally and fellow Avenger – the Incredible Hulk (Mark Ruffalo).
