WEEKEND MOVIE GUIDE:The X-Men are back at the cinema this weekend!

Cape Town – The ninth instalment of the X-Men franchise hits the big screen this weekend.

Our favourite mutants once again find themselves standing between humanity and a potentially world-destroying threat.

If that's not really your thing there's also a true-life drama about a math genius, a horror with a creepy kid and one of the best musicals to hit the circuit in a while.

Movie: X-Men: Apocalypse

Short review: The latest installment in the X-Men franchise is a disappointment but not enough of one to truly displease fans or to leave them not looking forward to whatever comes next.
