Cape Town – Zelda la Grange’s book, Good Morning, Mr. Mandela, will be turned into a film, Netwerk24 reported on Monday.
According to the publication the film rights to the book were bought by New York-based film production company, Maven Pictures.
Maven Pictures is a partnership between Golden Globe winning producer, Celine Rattray and Bafta-nominated producer, Trudie Styler.
There are numerous books about Nelson Mandela, but Good Morning, Mr. Mandela is the first by a trusted member of his inner circle.
In addition to offering a rare close portrait, La Grange pays tribute to Madiba as she knew him—a teacher who gave her the most valuable lessons of her life.
Former American president, Bill Clinton, previously said Le Grange’s book is “an important reminder of the lessons Madiba taught us all”.
No word yet on the casting of the film.
