What it's about:
Cowardly sheep farmer Albert backs out of a gunfight, and his fickle girlfriend leaves him for another man. When a mysterious and beautiful woman rides into town, she helps him find his courage and they begin to fall in love. But, when her husband, a notorious outlaw, arrives seeking revenge, Albert must put his new-found courage to the test.
What we thought:
Let’s get right to the punch! Charlize Theron’s humorous new Western flick is the most fun you can have with your pants on at the movies! The South African born actress is one "hot chick with great tits"!
Now if you were even remotely offended by the intro of this review, you better not go near this movie. A Million Ways to Die in the West is an orgy of laugh-a-minute, absolutely fucking fantastic one-liners and adult humour effortlessly squirted onto the big screen for you to enjoy.
Set in the 1880’s the movie is about a cowardly farmer who begins to fall for the mysterious new woman in town, he must put his new-found courage to the test when her husband, a notorious gun-slinger, announces his arrival.
Seth MacFarlane – who wrote, directed, fantasised, stars in and dreamed up this hilarious piece of cinematic indulgence – takes on the role of Albert the pissy sheep farmer who desperately needs to grow a pair.
In comes Charlize, as Anna, and saves the day. Oh, man! You’ve never seen our favourite local leading lady take on a role like this before. She absolutely nails it! (No pun intended)
MacFarlane throws a modern spin on the Western classic without having to force in any modern jargon or #selfie shit. The movie stays true to the genre but has a Colgate breath of fresh air.
Another sneaky little extra is the high profile Hollywood actors strategically placed as extras in the movie. We won’t give away too much but do look out for Blake Lively’s beau, Ryan Reynolds, in one of the epic bar fight scenes!
If dirty mouths, sexually loaded puns and hardcore comedy are not your thing then stay away. If you’re a grownup with a fucking rad sense of humour – well enjoy! It’s a good one!
