Shrouded in mystery. Tainted by tragedy. Trained to kill. Then left for dead. But for Elektra, death was just the beginning. Now she is back. . . with a vengeance.
Following the events of Daredevil, Elektra Natchios (Jennifer Garner), sai master and assassin for hire, is revived by the Order of the Hand, a group of assassins who helped train her.
Though she is assigned by the Hand`s new leader, Kirigi, to kill Mark Miller (Goran Visnjic), and his 13-year-old daughter, Elektra befriends them instead and resolves to stand up to her ninja peers and protect the innocent pair from them. Elektra is especially motivated to do so when she discovers that Miller`s grandfather was an ally of her former mentor, Stick. Together, they must take on Kirigi`s lethal quartet.
What the critics are saying:
"It's shockingly dull for a popcorn flick, and only ardent fans of the comic are likely to enjoy it."- Paul Arendt, BBCi Film"The sad thing about Elektra is that it reveals that for all the millions of dollars now spent on them, comic-book movies are being made with no more distinction than the cheapest old Saturday-afternoon serials."- Charles Taylor, Salon.com
"Would it kill a tough girl to crack a smile or eat a Twinkie or make a pass once in a while? Does she have to be a squinty jerk with intimacy issues in order to be considered super?"- Carina Chocano, Los Angeles Times
