What's it about:

When a wormhole is newly discovered, a team of explorers and scientists embark on a voyage through it to transcend previous limitations on human space travel.

What we thought:

“We used to look up in the sky and wonder about our place in the stars, now we just look down and worry about our place in the dirt.”

Earth as you know it will come to an end, natural disaster will take its course. Will NASA be able to pilot an undeniable miracle to save the human race, or are the people on earth doomed.

Creating an atmosphere of faith and belief is not an easy task to do. Interstellar will open your eyes to possibilities beyond the stars, give you hope for a new world and make you believe that anything is possible.

With a home that is dying of drought and famine, food becoming scarce and hope even scarcer all is left to a ghost in plain sight to lead a farmer to the answer.

When Cooper (Matthew McConaughey)  finds out that the people on earth are meant to leave it and not save it he jumps at the opportunity to find a way to save his family and the rest of the human race. However, anything that could’ve happened, did happen and he is left with a decision no parent should ever make.

Stuck between a parallel universe where time defines their odds, it is up to Cooper and Amelia (Anne Hathaway) to find a new home before they run out of time, supplies and sanity.

The plot twist comes like thunder when all faith is left to a young girl who never stops believing her father will come back to her. The bond between a father, his daughter and the beauty of science will bring you to tears, not only because of the strong relation but because the emotion instilled in the acting. It will make you believe in each and every one of these characters portrayed.

The technicalities of this movie will take you on a trip of wonder. With composed music to thrill you and get you on the edge of your seat, not even popcorn can suffice your nerves and curiosity.

Whether you are into sci-fi, drama and suspense or pure adventure this movie will touch on every emotion relatable to you and although the start eases into the bulk of the film, be sure to keep your eyes peeled because every single detail will form part of a dramatic ending.

Matthew McConaughey gives an Oscar winning performance working alongside Anne Hathaway, Jessica Chastain and Michael Caine you won’t be disappointed.

Christopher Nolan has done an immaculate job in bringing each character alive and the desperation to save the human race will light a spark in every viewer to believe that there is hope for people on earth after all.

Just another typical Tom Cruise action film, with nothing to get too excited about. The film is loaded with action-film stereotypes and cheesy one-liners. Read More »

Hands of Stone

2016-10-14 07:38

Hands of Stone is a bland, unlikable portrayal of a real-life boxer that struggles to hit the highs of Rocky IV let alone Raging Bull or the original Rocky. Mark this one down as “for boxing fanatics only”. Read More »
