Kill Bill: Volume 2

2006-03-30 12:29

After dispensing with former colleagues O-Ren Ishii (Lucy Liu) and Vernita Green (Vivica A. Fox) in Kill Bill Vol. 1, the Bride (Uma Thurman) resumes her quest for justice in the series' second installment, Kill Bill Vol. 2. With those two down, the Bride has two remaining foes on her 'Death List' to pursue - Budd (Michael Madsen) and Elle Driver (Daryl Hannah) - before moving on to her ultimate goal... to kill Bill (David Carradine).

What the critics are saying:

"...exploits the medium in every conceivable way to tell a story that's larger than life while striking universal chords."
- Stella Papamichael, BBCi Films

"An exuberant celebration of moviemaking."
- Roger Ebert, Chicago Sun-Times

"Quentin Tarantino's deliciously perverse semisequel is the most voluptuous comic-book movie ever made."
- Elvis Mitchell, New York Times

"...for all the craft that's gone into Kill Bill, Vol. 2, despite the chance Tarantino has taken in departing from the wham-bam movement of the first half, my final reaction to the movie is, so what?"
- Charles Taylor,

Quentin Tarantino finishes off his gorgeous and gory "grindhouse" epic with a flourish. With less action, and more of Tarantino's trademark quirky dialogue, Vol. 2 satisfies the senses in ways that Vol. 1 could not.

Just another typical Tom Cruise action film, with nothing to get too excited about. The film is loaded with action-film stereotypes and cheesy one-liners. Read More »

Hands of Stone

2016-10-14 07:38

Hands of Stone is a bland, unlikable portrayal of a real-life boxer that struggles to hit the highs of Rocky IV let alone Raging Bull or the original Rocky. Mark this one down as “for boxing fanatics only”. Read More »
