Midnight in Paris
What it's about:

A romantic comedy set in Paris about a family that goes there because of business, and two young people who are engaged to be married in the fall have experiences there that change their lives. It's about a young man's great love for a city, Paris, and the illusion people have that a life different from theirs would be much better. It stars Owen Wilson, Rachel McAdams, Marion Cotillard, Kathy Bates, Carla Bruni, among others.

What the critics thought:

"Beguiling, bewitching, enchanting, enthralling; Woody Allen has offered us a glimpse into his imagination, exorcised some (rather amiable) demons and shared with us one of the frothiest, funniest and most heart-warming films in years."
- Simon Miraudo, Quickflix

"Midnight in Paris finds Allen in a larky, slightly tart and altogether bountiful mood, giving filmgoers a movie that, while unabashedly funny and playful, provides a profiterole or two for thought.
- Ann Hornaday, Washington Post

"In Woody Allen's beguiling and then bedazzling new comedy, nostalgia isn't at all what it used to be - it's smarter, sweeter, fizzier and ever so much funnier."
- Joe Morgenstern, Wall Street Journal

Woody Allen is back to his comic best in this light and playful romance about a wistful writer who is transported to 1920s Paris while on holiday with his fiancee.

I feel that this movie is an absolute gem! As irritating as a Woody Allen can be this was just the right amount of everything. Be swept away by the scenery, engulfed by the characters and overwhelmed by message of the movie. 5 out of 5!
