Thandeka still feels the pain and anger caused by apartheid. Despite Johannesburg's new optimism, the 30-something single mother and journalist can't shake her personal demons. Her work has suffered miserably and she has alienated herself from her family.
Thandeka desperately wants to reach out to her 13-year-old deaf daughter Mangi, who has spent most of her life with her grandparents while her mother has been fighting for the cause. Mangi has begun to lose faith in her mother as she has been kept unaware of the price Thandeka has paid for challenging the system.
Thandeka is forced to face her haunting past when contacted by Me'Tau, the aged mother of a student activist, Dineo, she once wrote about. For over 10 years, Thandeka has been gnawed with guilt over the consequences of her controversial eyewitness account of Dineo's murder by apartheid hit men. Me'Tau now implores Thandeka to testify before the upcoming Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC), so that her daughter's remains can be located to receive a proper burial. During their search, Thandeka and Me'Tau discover that families everywhere are also still searching for the remains of loved ones who disappeared during the apartheid years. Their efforts endanger the lives of Thandeka and those around her as the killers stalk them to cover the tracks of their past crimes...
What the critics are saying:
"Ramadan Suleman's Zulu Love Letter is an informative and heart-warming story about how South Africa's past affects its present."- Rivonia Naidu, The Star"...may not be the best film you see this year, but it is authentic, honest and raises many pertinent issues around the South African experience."- Gayle Edmunds, City Press"A hot-blooded drama decrying the way South Africans have repressed the years of apartheid..."- Deborah Young, Variety
Just another typical Tom Cruise action film, with nothing to get too excited about. The film is loaded with action-film stereotypes and cheesy one-liners. Read More »

Hands of Stone is a bland, unlikable portrayal of a real-life boxer that struggles to hit the highs of Rocky IV let alone Raging Bull or the original Rocky. Mark this one down as “for boxing fanatics only”. Read More »
