Fame flying in - We take a look at some of the celebrities who visited SA during the World Cup this past month. Did you spot any?
-
Paris Hilton - The heiress donned her best animal prints on her voyage to deep dark Africa. While here she managed to get high, arrested and acquitted all in one night! Talk about making the most of your, uh, trip.
-
Leonardo DiCaprio - After attending the Germany vs Argentina game in Cape Town on July 3, Leo headed back to the One & Only where he was his offish self, denying any interviews or autographs. He was however spotted at the Table Mountain National Park at Cape Point the next day.
-
Charlize Theron - The Monster actress was also spotted at the Germany vs Argentina game in Cape Town, but judging by her sombre face, we think she was supporting Argentina!
-
Kimora Lee Simmons and Djimon Hounsou - Miss Fabulosity and her demure yet more talented husband were in the country for more than just a game or two. Kimora was here to promote her stores and the new season of her TSN show, Life In The Fab Lane. Djimon was her arm candy.
-
John Travolta - John flew his own plane - a Quantas boeing - to SA where he then did the diski dance for the crowds upon arrival. Mr Staurday Night Fever has still got it. Here he is with the team he supports, the Socceroos (Australia).
-
Morgan Freeman - The esteemed actor tried to shy away in his seat at the World Cup final between Netherlands and Spain. We wonder who he was supporting?
-
Shakira - She kind of had to be here, didn't she? The Colombian cutie performed her official song, 'Waka Waka', at the opening and closing ceremonies and attended many charity events in between.
-
Alicia Keys - The mama-to-be performed at the Kick-Off Concert the night before the tournament started. She also changed some of her lyrics to shout out to Jo'Burg and SA. You go, girl!
-
The Black Eyed Peas - The chart-topping quartet also performed at the Kick-Off Concert, but weren't as successful as Ms Keys. Fergie needs to work on her live performances ASAP. But we're glad they came to visit anyway.
