Roastmaster Trevor Noah held nothing back as he ripped into Steve, as well as the "mediocre" crop of celebrity roasters assembled.
-
Steve's hot seat was, literally, hot! This braai stand opened up to reveal a cushioned seat. Perfect for the Heritage/Braai Day premiere!
-
Steve looked cool and collected in his blue suit, sunglasses and Sketchers trainers.
-
The cast of roasters: David Kau, Anele Mdoda, Mini van der Westhuizen, John Vlismas, Casper de Vries, Kuli Roberts, Shaleen Surti-Richards and Robert Whitehead.
-
Kuli Roberts gets her chance to roast Steve, but the columnist and socialite was the target of the night's most stinging jokes!
-
Steve made his flashy entrance atop an ossewa flanked by a group of sexy dancers.
-
Steve took most of the jokes about his weight, his many affairs and children in good spirit - until John Vlismas made mention of his Afrikaner heritage. That earned him a paper stuffing in his mouth from the Roastee.
-
In his intro, Trevor said Steve was better known to the Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC) as "the one we missed".
-
Steve also had to sit through repeated jokes about his "music", in particular his hit Pampoen.
-
Though the main battle of the nighy was between Trevor and Kuli Roberts, who was labelled a "cokehead" and "slut" by the roastmaster.
