Anthony Hamilton - Back To Love

RnB crooner Anthony Hamilton is back with a soulful bang.

Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds not only worked with Anthony Hamilton on his new album, Back to Love, but he must have given him some grooming tips too.

The soul/RnB singer now not only sounds good but he looks refined. He has ditched his scruffy, unshaven look for a cleaner one that makes him look more like the superstar he is.

But that is where the changes end. Hamilton keeps the same formula in his music that saw him collect a Grammy award back in 2003. He belts out the same heart-wrenching beats as we have seen him do in his last projects such as Coming from Where I'm From which gave us the hit single Charlene for which we came to know the father of five boys. That offering was followed by Ain't Nobody Worryin and his last offering, Point of It All coming in 2008.

His latest project is already attracting considerable airplay on the local radio stations. The upbeat hit single "Woo" has climbed up the charts in the United States and it looks to do the same here. The track is a bit experimental and obviously aimed at attracting more of the pop audience which would ensure Hamilton becomes a mainstream attraction.

Fortunately, this is done in a tasteful way and on the rest of the album Hamilton stays 'real' to his roots. However, the classic Anthony Hamilton song on the album has to be "Pray for me" which, like "Charlene" did in 2003, is set to stand the test of time and become a classic.

Other songs to look out for include "I'll Wait (To fall in love)", "Writing on the Wall" and the title track "Back to Love". Once all is said and done, Anthony Hamilton has sold 19.6 million albums around the world since he came to the music scene nine years ago. This album is set to increase that number significantly.
