Chante Moore - Love the woman

It's an apt choice for an album title seeing as we're currently celebrating the women’s month. The ever sexy Chante Moore continues giving us what she's known for: melodious and smooth soul songs about love, topped off with that exceptionally beautiful voice.

While most fans will remember "Special" as a house remix club banger from most of last summer, this album reintroduces the original version as a more relaxed rhythm and soul track produced and mixed by Raphael Saadiq of Tony Toni Tone fame. If you're familiar with Raphael's material you'll be satisfied with the finished product, yet another classic.

Other songs to look out for are "My Eyes", and "Love the Woman" which reminds me of a much younger Mrs Moore when she was still new in the game. "Guess who I saw today" is on a slightly different tip, more jazz than R&B.

As for the rest of the album...well, I think Chante could’ve done better. It's not a disappointment, just definitely not at the level of previous collaborations with the husband Kenny Latimore.
