Classic, one-hit wonders and singalong songs - Campus Classics Vol 4

2006-03-29 18:15

Highveld stereo's Campus Classics Volume 4 is perfect for anyone who likes music from the late 80s / early 90s.

This compilation of easy listening pop includes old favourites such as "Who can it be now", "Missing You" and "Simply Irresistible", one hit wonders like Deep Blue Something and Men Without Hats (remember them?) and a few classics from great bands Madness and Eurhythmics. It's good to see that local talent also gets airplay on 94.7 - songs from Dr Victor, Sipho Hotstix Mabuse are included on the album, as are more recent hitmakers Wonderboom and Mean Mr Mustard.

There's nothing exceptional about this album, but it's ideal for anyone who's into laid back poppy kind of music.

Even if you don't recognise the names of all the tracks, when you hear the songs you'll remember them and memories of house parties and varsity jols will come flooding back - even if you never went to varsity.

Are you a 94.7, or KFM listener? You might want to pick up this CD, and hear your favourite tracks without the ad breaks.
