Queen Latifah - Trav'lin' Light

Queen is as regal as ever this time around, Trav’lin’ Light with heavyweights such as Stevie Wonder, George Duke and Joe Sample. You can hear that Latifah went the extra mile with a voice coach, top-notch arrangers and a majestic orchestra.

Her delivery is impeccable and she holds her own on classics such as Nina Simone’s “I want a little sugar in my bowl”, Smokey Robinson’s “What love has joined together” and Donny Hathaway and Curtis Mayfield’s “Gone Away” with absolute finesse. Yes, it’s not over till the Queen sings. Some people are just born to do it all.

Have hip-hop heads surprised by 2004’s The Dana Owens Album adjusted to Queen’s new jazz persona yet? Well, while it’s almost impossible to forget a young Latifah wearing cheeky shorts, rapping about abuse and asking some nigga “who you callin’ a bitch and a ho?” in the video for the classic “U.N.I.T.Y”, as the saying goes, it’s not over till the fat lady sings.

Qeen Latifah is a star Oh! well who really would have thought she has a wonderful feminen side, after she acted so bold in SET IT OFF, well I think she's a real star. She pull everything the correct way..she should shine on.
