Tiësto - Kaleidoscope Remixed

2010-09-10 09:41
Kaleidoscope Remixed is Tiësto's fifth studio album, a reworked version of his previous release, Kaleidoscope, which reached the Top 10 chart on iTunes within its first week of its release. It featured a string of super-talented musicians from myriad genres including dance, pop, techno and rock.

So the question raised is: Why would Tiësto rebuild something that clearly wasn't broken? We don’t know, and frankly we don’t care. The collaborative result that is Remixed is nothing short of stunning.

The best of Kaleidoscope's tracks get a re-do by the likes of Ferry Corsten, Bart B More, The Cary Brothers and of course Tiësto himself.

And there are two new excellent remixes of the chart-topping single "I will be here" with Sneaky Sound System that will hit all the right spots with Tiësto fans.

"Escape Me" is just a little repetitive and reminiscent of a time when Tiësto still needed to call himself DJ Tiësto. But it’s crystal clear that his musical creations have evolved since then - the days of getting only great trance anthems from the Dutch DJ are well and truly over.

Ferry Corsten’s "Kaleidoscope" remix is 7:47 of pure delight and Philip D's remix of the Nelly Furtado track, "Who wants to be alone" also stands out.

Almost every track on Remixed is a guaranteed party starter and chances are that a good few of them will be played over and over again on dance floors, DJ decks, car radios and iPods the world over.

Kaleidoscope Remixed really is a whole lot of bang for your buck. 72 minutes of breathtaking-feel-good bang for your buck to be exact.

When Tiësto handpicks the best producers and remixers in the business to work with him on his new album, people are going to sit up and listen.
