AKA ends Jazz Festival on a high note

Having won the SAMA for Male artist of the year in 2012, AKA sees himself as a hip hop ambassador.

He has opened up for international artists such as Kanye West and Ne-Yo, although he says he likes to think that Kanye West closed his show! The rapper is known for his arrogance but at the same time he remains somewhat humble and says he can't start talking about being a legend because he is still on his first album.

AKA promised a high energy show at the Cape Town International Jazz festival over the weekend.

"I am going to beat the shit out of the stage," he told the media during a press conference earlier on Saturday.

And yes, his performance did not disappoint and included the crowd favourites such as Jealousy  and Victory lap, closing off the Jazz Festival on a high note.

The rapper is currently working on his second album which will include rhythmic and house music elements.
