Computicket is not geared to sell tickets for world class events. It's been shown many times and most recently by Lady Gaga as well as Linkin Park.
I had the misfortune on missing out on golden circle tickets for Linkin Park as every possible avenue available for ticket sales by computicket was exhausted by my friends and I.
We had people stationed at various computicket outlets, on the line to the call centre, online as well. The first of us to procure tickets did so just 8 minutes after sales opened at 9am.
Golden Circle was already sold out!! I saw countless tweets and Facebook posts by people who had managed to secure their Golden circle tickets before sales even opened at 9am.
Computickets excuse: "We mistakenly opened sales for a few minutes but they are now closed until 9". The damage was already done.
So to get back on point I again saw Twitter ablaze with tweets of people who claimed to already have their golden circle tickets for Red Hot Chili Peppers. I knew sales were due to open at 9am on Wednesday but did feel that these seemingly false claims were worth investigating.
I'm glad I did because my mates and I are now the proud owners of Golden Circle tickets for the Red Hot Chili Peppers in Jo'burg.
Whether the RHCP themselves had heard horror stories of Computickets’ utter incompetence or they have pre-sales everywhere they perform at least I'll be seeing them up close and personal.
So to end, for all the people that are complaining I suggest you too rush off to the RHCP website to get your tickets before the ticket sales are handed over to Computicket to butcher once more.
If you can't beat them, join them.
