Grammy Awards: Best and Worst

2013-02-11 10:13

It's the music industry's Oscars, where we get to see our personal best and worst get rewarded for their contributions to the music scene. Yet when it comes to the Grammys, we can all admit that we don't really tune in for the musical performances.

But, while we are speaking of best and worst...

If you sit down to dissect the ceremony (like some of us obsessively did), you will find loads of awkward scenes, major LOLs and moments that will make you go "WTH?".

Never fear! If you missed the live screening on Channel O on Monday morning, or just need to catch up on what everybody is talking about around the watercooler, then you should follow our handy guide of the best and worst moments at the 55th Annual Grammy Awards in GIF format:

1. The jaw-dropping, yet awkward moment when Taylor Swift dissed Harry Styles during her performance:

2. J-Lo missed the new dress code memo and made men in the audience shift around uncomfortably:

And so did Katy Perry's boobs:

3. Ryan Seacrest knocking some sense into Taylor Swift with his microphone:

4. If you haven't heard yet - poor ol' Chris Brown is still angry about his scuffle with Frank Ocean:

5. The disaster that could have been - Kelly Clarkson and Miranda Lambert's dresses got all caught up:

6. The awkward special effects done by the producers:

Carrie Underwood's light feature dress... Okay?

Frank Ocean's performance of Forrest Gump... Okay?

7. Did you know - Justin Timberlake knows Jiu Jitsu:

8. When the universe put Ellen DeGeneres and Beyoncé on stage:

9. Cue ANOTHER awkward moment when Ryan Seacrest couldn't shake Justin Timberlake's hand:

10. Some might not have enjoyed the ceremony, but Taylor Swift had a ball...

5 minutes later...

Taylor's still going at it...

A friendly, advisory note to the producers of the Grammys: We would like to advise you and our favourite celebrities to keep the awkward moments and special effects to a minimum next year. And also... Don't invite Taylor Swift.

* The 55th Annual Grammy ceremony will be repeated Monday 11 February on Vuzu (channel 116) at 19:30.
