Michael Bublé is back in South Africa for five sold-out shows.
Channel24 went along to a very rare press conference (in 178 shows, he’s only given two press conferences) in Cape Town and we were mesmerised by the charming, comical crooner.
Here are some of his best quips.
Journo: I love your jacket! (Michael's wearing a blueish purple leather jacket)
Michael: Thanks! You know how hard it is to find a purple sheep, or cow?
On what he's done on his current visit to SA:
I’m sober, boring, I've read two books in the last five days.
The crazy moments throughout the Crazy Love tour:
Love is crazy but we all do it. I promised myself after my last break-up that I'd never do it again and two years later I was saying 'I do'.
On buying a copy of his own album:
I went down to the Virgin Record store in New York and I was just so excited to have a record out on a major label. So I went down to Times Square and asked the guy at the counter if he had any Michael Buble CDs and he said he did, and I was like "oh my God this rocks" and then he came back and handed me a Michael Bolton CD.
What's Michael Buble's next venture?
Who knows what I'll do next, maybe some soft core.
On Deon Singer, the man who introduced him to South Africa:
This voice comes on the line: (Michael attempts a South African accent) "Hey my boytjie, oh my God you're going to be huge here, I'm going to sell this thing" – and now our families spend Christmas together.
I hope that was better than Leonardo DiCaprio in Blood Diamond - (shakes his head.)
