Are we happy with the change? Hell no! I'm pissed! We "stood in line" (albeit online) to get the seats we did, 6 of us in total, and paid the price we did for the Cape Town Stadium, a new, top class concert venue. Having attended Linkin Park at the Stadium, we were keen for Metallica at the same venue, especially with the organisation of the MyCiti busses making travel safer and more efficient.
Considering the Velodrome is being torn down in a few months or so, I consider it a second class concert venue, has not been maintained in months if not years!! Bad parking, no MyCiti, cramped bathrooms, need I go on?
Not to mention that now all seats are "back up for grabs" so now I have to go back and try get decent seats all over again!!
It's disgusting to do this so close to the event. And not even to give a valid reason is just as bad. Also, the people at the Checkers counters can’t even tell us when the ticket sales will open again!!????
