1. Firstly, Fall Out Boy are in Jo'burg to perform live on 20th July this year. Tickets will go on sale through Computicket.

3. Fall Out Boy are frequently nicknamed "FOB".

4. FOB have many fans all over the world, but they are actually from the suburbs of Chicago, USA.

5. Like many rock bands, they had to prove they were good by slogging away for a few years.

6. Unlike many rock bands, they had a massive hit with their major label debut. Released in 2005, From Under the Cork Tree achieved double platinum status after selling more than 2.5 million albums in the USA alone.

7. Fall Out Boy weren't just big sellers, they're also critically acclaimed. From Under the Cork Tree also won several awards. 8. Their new album Infinity on High, released February in the USA and UK, has already sold 270 000 copies.

11. They allowed fans to design a special edition album for Infinity on High cover for use only online.

12. Showing their versatility, Fall Out Boy has collaborated with rappers Kanye West and Timbaland.

13. Though their music is made to be jolled to, Fall Out boys themes are sometimes a little dark.

14. Their name may make reference to nuclear "Fall Out", as well as to the military command "Fall Out", which can indicate that you're in trouble with your CO.

16. Official Action Figure dolls are available online for all band members at $64.99 (sold out at time of search result)

17. The band is nominated for a 2007 Kids Choice Award in the Favourite Band category.

18. They're up against Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Black-Eyed Peas and Nickelback for the Kids Choice prize.

19. They just get younger... their single "Dance Dance" from album From Under the Cork Tree (2005) won the 2006 Teen Choice Award for the category of Choice Music: Single, while also nabbed the Choice Music: Rock Group award at the event held August 20th.

20. They also won the 2006 Teen Choice Award for the category of Choice Rock Track for "Dance, Dance".

21. They handed out special edition posters containing the band members' blood in the ink for fans who watched them in 2007 Honda Civic Tour. Odd.

22. They auditioned 19 unsigned bands to open their 2007 US tour.

23. That's not the only way they've helped the needy. Fall Out Boy slept on the street in cardboard boxes on Saturday April 28, 2007 to raise awareness for Uganda’s homeless street soldiers.

24. Fall Out Boy also supports the Invisible Children Charity, which raises money to help the children in Uganda.

That's it for now!
