And let's not forget the fans - an immaculately dressed, bourbon-drinking bunch. The designers, filmmakers, musicians, journalists, ad people and those they speak to, packed the venue, seeking shelter between its walls from the bitter Woodstock wind.

At 11pm, two hours after the announced time, the band gave up trying to win that Cape Town game known loosely as "Who can arrive later?" and hit the stage. Wham. See for yourself. VIDEO
