More Amor - Interview her yourself - Ask Amor your questions

She's been more than a pop star. She's also an ex Miss Johannesburg, SA Tap and Modern Dance Champion, a Communications cum laude graduate, a mother, and wife to celebrity rugby player, Joost Van Der Westhuizen.

Amor has a reputation for being feisty and fierce, as well as beautiful.

She hit the spotlight recently when she and Patricia Lewis had a public - and highly publicised - spat about men and music. Is that smoothed over? It seems to be. They're touring SA's small towns together on the 7 Wonders Tour, accompanied by other top Afrikaans stars like Kurt Darren, Die Campbells, Nadine, Nianell, and Pieter Koen.

She's sometimes dubbed the "Kylie of South Africa," partly because of her musical style but also because, true to her name, she so often sings about love. Her music shows a softer side of her not seen in the tabloids and never more so than with the release of her forthcoming album, simply titled Amor.

She says of the new album: "The music industry is hugely competitive and very fickle and I intend with this album to silence the critics by well and truly entertaining all who take the time to engage with me and my music."
