Nonhle, how did you prepare for this US/Caribbean tour?
It was hectic, a lot of hard work was put in the show. Every evening I had to go onto the Internet and research the artist I would be interviewing the next day. My producers also purchased an iPod for me where they loaded all the artists’ music videos and songs. I spent most of my free time listening to music so I could really get to know the artists. So when I ask them questions on songs I have actually listened to them. It’s also more credible. Most artists were impressed that I knew the words to their songs!

How were you chosen to be the Channel O presenter to go on this tour?
This question God has to answer. He has done so much for me it’s absolutely amazing. Nothing is ever achieved in isolation. I also have a great team of people in my life who believed in me. Shout out to my Channel O peeps and most of all my supporters who keep me employed and who are the reason I do what I do.

While in the US and Caribbean, were you living large? Was it 5 star hotels, limos and caviar?
Yes, I was living large and the coolest thing is that i never paid for a single thing! I even got free clothes from Evisu jeans that cost over $2000 a pair and I got like five. I also got free boots and sneakers. I also had my first ride in a Hummer that was hired in Miami for the crew and me. It was really a dream come true. But I lived the dream for all my African people so all youngsters can start dreaming and be inspired that nothing is ever unachievable. Just believe. Which artists were your most and least favourite to interview and Why?
I really had fun with Chris Brown. I spent three days with him. He was everywhere I was. He is very smart and has a great spirit. I even hung out with his mother who is his manager and she is the total opposite of him - very shy. The least favourite? Hmmm... no one really, everyone was so welcoming to me and they all opened up. They are great peeps!

What is this we hear about you and Pharrell being more than just friends?
Hahaha. Pharrell is sooooo hot in person. I met him with Ludacris. They were rehearsing for the Billboard Awards and we got along. He actually approached me and paid me a beautiful compliment. He's really cool.

Any advice for young people who want to do your work?
Yes. All I can say is pray hard and believe in God. He will lead you to your destiny. And also get an agency so you can be told about auditions. For the ladies: Enter pageants - its a great way to build your confidence and keep you off the streets. Do it because you love it and are passionate about it not just to be famous and always be yourself don’t EVER try be someone else. God made us all unique so let your personality always shine through.

Run us through a typical day in Nonhle’s weekend.
Weekends are the only time I have to do my laundry, clean my place and spend time with family. I’m always with my mom on weekends. And also on weekends I fulfil my auntie duties, its fun. The love of my life!

Tell us something strange or interesting that most people don't know about you.
You wont believe this, but I’m actually a shy person! No one believes me but when I walk into a room filled with people I get so nervous its crazy. But once I’m on camera another me is unleashed!
