It's getting hot in here....

This year Cape festivalgoers can once again enjoy a monumentous mix of bands from February 6 to 8. Expect some old favourites, some re-incarnated legends, some brand new and still shining newies and that not-so-delicate sprinkling of comedians.

Acts confirmed so far include: Bed on Bricks, Prime Circle, Dan Patlansky, Ryno Velvet, Rudimentals, Boulevard Blues Band, Dirty Skirts, Taxi Violence, No One's Arc, Wonderboom, Hot Water, Tidal Waves, Flat Stanley, Blues Boers, Akkedis, Southern Gypsy Queen, Andra, Lonesome Dave Ferguson, Black Cat Bone, and the Fake Leather Blues Band.

Cool. So what sets Up the Creek apart from the slew of other summer rock music festivals? Well, here's a message from the organisers:
Up The Creek is definitely not a Lifestyle Festival. We think if you lived your normal life like you do at Up The Creek, you probably wouldn't live long. We think Up The Creek is rather a treat, an indulgence, a party, a revelry with old friends, a celebration with new ones. An imbezo of the soul. An imbibe'ation of tunes. Old and new. What's important, however, is that you come - bring your friends. We are only selling 2000 tickets, so be early. There are no VIP's or VIP areas at Up The Creek. We are all VIP's.

How and where to book and what it costs
Full weekend pass: R400 or R450 (gate)
Saturday & Sunday pass: R325 or R340 (gate)
Sunday 1 day pass: R150. Click HERE to book your ticket.

Where to sleep and where to stay
Bring your own tent, pots, pans, spare loo-paper, clothes, braai-meat, drinks, babes, and whatever else you require. Food is on sale, but it’ll cost you. You can also opt to have your tent pitched for you and a blowup mattrass waiting and ready in the "luxury" tented camp, where breakfast is also prepared for you. The organisers also offer to deliver coffee ann a newspaper to your tent. Coffee sounds good. As for the newspaper, we already suggested you bring your own spare loo paper, so no need for that.

...Oh and Here's a MAP to the venue.

The first weekend in February means one thing for music fans.... Yep, it's time to go Up the Creek again.
