Radiohead fans are boring and ugly, says Liam
There must be a new Oasis album on the way because one of the Gallagher brothers has said something rude. This time frontman Liam Gallagher has decided to make fans of Radiohead and Coldplay his new targets, calling them "boring and ugly". In an interview with London’s The Times, he said: "I've mellowed, but not in the sense of liking Radiohead or Coldplay. I don't hate them. I don't wish they had accidents. I think their fans are boring and ugly and they don't look like they're having a good time." Gallagher also confessed that he doesn’t like any contemporary bands, saying: "I play The Beatles, The (Rolling) Stones, The Kinks, Neil Young, the (Sex) Pistols. Maybe a bit of The (Stone) Roses. Don't like modern bands. Top man music, innit?" Whatever that means. And, of course, the reason why Gallagher feels compelled to bash other bands is because Oasis' new album Dig Out Your Soul is due in early October – and he’ll want to pipe up the hype as much as possible until then. Although Liam has probably ensured that the millions of Radiohead and Coldplay fans out there won’t be buying it.
