Cape Town - Mango Groove will be kicking off 2015 in a spectacular fashion on 31 December this year at the Kirstenbosch New Year's Eve Concert.
The concert will start at 20:30, with Mango Groove seeing in the New Year from 22:45.
Also featured on the show will be the SA rock legend Arno Carstens.
In the words of Claire Johnston, Mango Groove’s iconic lead singer:
"I cannot tell you how excited we are about the show! We have had a long and very special relationship with Kirstenbosch through the years, but this will be our first New Year’s Eve concert at the venue. Performing on the Kirstenbosch stage is always an annual highlight for us anyway, so to be seeing in 2015 with the people of Cape Town will be extra special for us".
Mango Groove’s concerts are always a big celebration, and in fact it has often been said that if you really want to understand the phenomenon that is Mango Groove, you simply have to see them live.
Founding member John Leyden says:
"Yes, the live show is very important to Mango Groove: very spontaneous, very celebratory, and very much a huge party both on stage and in the audience. We have been so lucky through the years to have had so much support from so many South Africans, and now it’s doubly rewarding to just how many different generations of South Africans are coming to the concerts…nothing like that to keep the party going!".
