1D proves they have the Best Song Ever

New York - One Direction's Best Song Ever got 10.9 million views in 24 hours since its debut, breaking a VEVO record.

The premier music video and entertainment platform announced on Tuesday that the music video beat out Miley Cyrus' We Can't Stop's record of 10.7 million views. Despite their British nationality, One Direction shot the video in Miami and it was directed by Ben Winston, who is also the producer for the band's documentary film One Direction: This Is Us.

In the video, the boys not only show off their singing but also their acting skills, as each member plays a character that makes most of them unrecognisable, and which makes for some hilarious outtakes.

Niall plays Harvey, an old fat studio executive, Harry is Marcel, a geeky marketing guy, Liam plays a flamboyant Leeroy, a choreographer that can't dance, Louis plays a hairy Jonny, a studio executive modelled after Tom Cruise's character in Tropic Thunder and Zayn does a complete gender-bender as Veronica, a surprisingly sexy assistant.

Taking the world by storm

One Direction, while currently doing a world tour, will be releasing their new movie in August in theaters. The group have sold 30 million records worldwide and have won various awards at the BRIT, MTV Video Music and Billboard Music awards, with six nominations at the Teen Choice 2013 Awards.

The boys must be dancing with joy with all this success!
