Cape Town - It’s been quite a busy week as far as new music videos go.
So to catch you up, we’ve compiled all the brand new local and international music videos in one piece.
1. Albert Frost – Modern Romance
Blues muso Albert Frost dropped brand new video on Thursday for his latest single, Modern Romance. The track is from his third solo album, The Wake Up, which was released in April this year. Co-written with Hunter Kennedy, the song is about the incongruity between the image people display on social media and the reality of their lives.
2. Gangs of Ballet – Something
Durban based band Gangs of Ballet released a brand new video and single on Thursday for their song titled Something. It is the first single from the latest release in the Form & Function trilogy of EP’s, Form & Function Part 2. While the video features a unique and wonderful guy who they just filmed being himself, even the band agrees that the video is quite strange!
3. The Weeknd – Starboy feat. Daft Punk
The Weeknd dropped a brand new video for his first single off his upcoming album on Wednesday. The song, which is called Starboy, is also the title track for his new album which is set to drop on 25 November. The dark video is filled with symbolism, as we see The Weeknd’s Abel being killed by a masked man, which turns out to be a reborn version of himself as a "Starboy".
4.Emo Adams – Lekker Lippe Klap feat. Early B
Comedian and singer Emo Adams dropped a brand new video for his song Lekker Lippe Klap on Thursday. The song was originally meant to be pitched for a Henties ad, but then turned into a full recorded song. It was written by Pierre Rossouw and features rapper Early B.
