5 fresh music videos that you might have missed

Cape Town – Sure, there are the songs that you love to listen to over and over but there’s nothing better than hearing a new song that you love.

Better still: seeing a video that really gets you moving.

With that in mind: we’ve made you a list of newer clips.

1) Psy ft. Snoop Dogg – Hangover
The man with 2 billion views on Youtube is back and he’s brought a leaf-loving friend. The video documents the mess that is pulling-an-all-nighter and trying to recover, which means that it’s pretty funny (as long it’s not you). You can try and hate it but we love it because we can hear it going hard in the clubs and during pre-drink/pre-match parties with friends.

2) Jack White - Lazaretto
With a bass line funkier than day old gym socks the ex-lead singer of The White Stripes is back with a suit he probably borrowed from Prince or a sea point pimp, we can’t be sure (kidding). The video features a sexy girl and a lot of guitar playing (as do all his videos) but there’s something grittier about this black and white homage to days-gone-by and we dig it.

3) Ariana Grande ft. Iggy Azalea - Problem
Music critics are buzzing that this is the collaboration (with Aussie Iggy) that will take Ariana from a mostly tween audience to a more mature one. The clip follows the current trend of filming in black and white and incorporates a 60’s swing element similar to if Austin Powers tried to break dance. It’s fun.

4) Sam Smith ft. Mary J Blige - Stay With Me
ICYMI Sam Smith released a beautiful official video for this song and it is burning up the airwaves. His album In the Lonely Hour is a UK No 1 and his performance on Saturday Night got rave reviews so he has had one busy first half of the year. This video of him singing with R&B icon Mary J. Blige is our highlight. Check it out and get ready to have a little cry.

5) Lana Del Rey - West Coast
Queen of the underground and all around eccentric Lana has made a clip for her latest single that exhibits the love that hallmark cards speak of. It has beaches and fair grounds, let it sweep you away below:
