Cape Town - Winter is in full effect and we (kinda) understand that some of you might be hibernating but here are the reasons that you missed one-helluva concert on Saturday night:
1) The opening acts: It was a blistering cold night in the Mother City on Saturday 31 May when St. Lucia played at Sideshow but curtain raisers got the packed crowd to break a sweat. We simply loved:
Mudblud :
Al Bairre :
And Shortstraw:
2) The free shots of Jack Daniels honey whiskey served by gorgeous girls : this is pretty self-explanatory. The crowd seemed to enjoy it too. Maybe a little bit TOO much though, cause some of them were like :
But that’s all good.
3) The instant photo booth: everyone likes to capture a great night out on social media but there something special about being able to have a print out of that moment Polaroid style.
4) The creepy/awesome vaudeville feeling of the venue and the intimate feel of the space. It kept us warm and made us feel like we were right on top of the bands/DJ’s in a weird carnivale.
5) ST LUCIA who did a lot of this but better :
Make sure to catch them the next time they’re in town! You won’t regret it!
