5 things you need to get you ready for Up The Creek this weekend!

Cape Town – Get ready for the craziest weekend to hit 2015.

It’s Up The Creek and whether you’re a first timer or part of the furniture, here is a recap of only the most important things you’ll need to know for the weekend.

1. Safety and crops come first… Always!

For all you Creekers out there, please drive slowly on the dirt road as it is currently being graded and it is therefore more dangerous than previous years.

The local farmer has also put out a plea requesting that cars drive much slower as the volume of dust kills his crops!

2. Stash your Cash!

There will be ATMs, however due to very low signal they may be inoperative at times.

It is vital that you bring cash along so you’re not left sponging for a bite and a sip of your friend’s goods.

3. Eats and Treats

Sedgwicks Old Brown will be sharing the warmth and creating a food court like no other and the Cape Town food trucks contingent will also be there to feed your bellies with the widest range of foods.

But if you want to, bring that midnight snack or any snack for that matter!

Of course you can’t eat without drinking, so feel free to bring your own booze but keep it in a papsak or a 2 litre mixer. No glass is allowed!

4. Food for the soul

There will be 3 beat pumping stages to keep you jamming and no sets will be overlapping to ensure you have time to rock your face off to all your favourite performers.

Amongst others, some bands to look out for include: aKING, John Wizards, Taxi Violence, The Kiffness, Zebra and Giraffe and so many more!

PS. Don’t forget the most important things of all: your sunblock, swimsuit and the best floatie you can find!

There’s no reason to add a crisp burnt face to your hangover on your journey home.

There will also be a competition for the float that can hold the most people as well as the weirdest, wildest and wackiest idea for a float so get those imaginations rolling!
