Cape Town – With the news of the death of David Bowie, 69, it is only fitting to take a look back at his remarkable music career.
The singer released his 29th album, Blackstar, on Friday to coincide with his 69th birthday.
His breakthrough came in 1972 with the release of The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders From Mars and creation of his alter ego Ziggy Stardust.
His first major US success came in 1975 with the number one single Fame.
