AB Crazy becomes TV's Man of the Moment

Mbombela - Born and raised in the dusty streets of Graskop in Mpumalanga, Tumelo Dibakwane, better known as AB Crazy, is climbing the ladder to fame.

The 23-year-old hip-hop artist and producer has released a hot music video called Man of the Moment, which is gaining fame following a video shoot in April.

"I've decided to write and produce my own songs for my own album as I've been writing for other musicians," said Dibakwane.

Dibakwane left Mpumalanga in 2007 and joined the production company Octave Couplet, which has produced and written songs for musicians like HHP, Khuli Chana, Teargas, Zeus, Morale, Maggz, Kaspa and more.

Within

Dibakwane said his career started when he was 12 years old.

"I grew up in Mpumalanga competing in hip-hop music competitions around the province as I felt the love of music within me," said Dibakwane.

He said his break came when he won a hip-hop competition in Mpumalanga in 2001, gaining him more recognition in the province.

He was one of the artists that performed during the 2010 FIFA World Cup at the Mbombela stadium and fan parks.

This year Dibakwane became a household name to many hip-hop fans after releasing the hit single Flying high, from his album Man of the Moment.

Proof

He is currently featured as one of the hottest hip-hop South African DJs on 5fm's C Live mixed tape.

Dibakwane's manager Kanyanta Kapolyo said the young man's first album was proof that more was still to come in the South African music industry.

"I knew this boy will be something in the industry, from the first time when he wrote songs for other musicians I told him to also do something which will earn him a spot," said Kapolyo.
