Amy worth £2m at time of death

London - Amy Winehouse was worth just over £2m at the time of her death.

Winehouse - who died at her north London home in July at the age of 27 - had two companies, Cherry Westfield and CW Touring, and the accounts have been published.

They revealed Cherry Westfield was worth £2 004 963 at the end of last November, down £20 000 on 2009, while in the same period, the assets of CW Touring shrank from £142 012 to just £8 032.

It seems Winehouse's fortune had diminished over time as in the 2008 Sunday Times Rich List, she was estimated to have fortunes of £10m.

In 2009, her fortune was estimated at £5m, the same as in the 2010 list.

Following Winehouse's untimely passing, her father Mitch Winehouse is planning to set up a rehab charity in her memory, with the headquarters set to be at her £2.5m home.

He said: "It could include help for children in trouble, kids suffering health problems, children's hospices and more. We want to make a positive difference."

Toxicology

However, Mitch's plans have been delayed because someone else has already registered his proposed name The Amy Winehouse Foundation.

Last month, toxicology results revealed Amy had no illegal substances in her system when she died, although she did have alcohol in her body, but it is not known if it contributed to her death.

A statement released by her family read: "Toxicology results returned to the Winehouse family by authorities have confirmed that there were no illegal substances in Amy's system at the time of her death. Results indicate that alcohol was present but it cannot be determined as yet if it played a role in her death.

"The family would like to thank the police and coroner for their continuing thorough investigations and for keeping them informed throughout the process. They await the outcome of the inquest in October."
