Los Angeles - Legendary soul crooner Barry White was awarded a star on Thursday on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, 10 years after his 2003 death at 58.
His wife, Glodean White, received the posthumous honour on his behalf, and legendary music producer Berry Gordy paid tribute to the singer in the ceremony.
A double Grammy winner, White was known for his bass voice and romantic image, with hit songs such as Can't Get Enough of Your Love, Babe, and Never, Never Gonna Give Ya Up.
"People can't get enough of Barry White's music, and even though he passed away many years ago, his songs will live on in the hearts of many," said Ana Martinez, producer of the Walk of Fame ceremonies.
"We are honored to have Barry White, his legendary voice and timeless songs immortalized on the Walk of Fame."
