Fife - Swedish euro-dance musician Basshunter has been arrested on charges of sexual assault in Scotland.
Jonas Altberg - who is known in music circles as Basshunter has been charged by police over an alleged sexual assault on two female fans at a Fife nightclub, where he performed.
He denies the charges and has been released on bail, but must appear at in court in January.
A Fife Constabulary spokeperson told BBC news: "Police in Fife can confirm that a 25 year-old man has been arrested in relation to alleged offences, and has been bailed to appear at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court in due course."
The Now You’re Gone hitmaker's manager, Scott Simons, has described the allegations as "totally untrue".
On Saturday the nightclub where the incident took place apologised to fans, saying: “We were totally embarrassed by his conduct."
A fan was quoted by Scotland’s Daily Record newspaper saying she had encountered the star in the early hours of Friday morning and was appalled at his behaviour.
Ashley Barr, 18, said: "I was embarrassed and degraded. He was a total pig. I was a fan, but now I wouldn’t open the curtains if he was playing in my back garden."
