Brockenhurst - Birdy, the singer who won the talent competition Open Mic UK at the age of 12, has debuted her first music video Wings from her upcoming album Fire Within - in a Channel24 exclusive.
Known for her covers, most famously her cover of Bon Iver's haunted ballad Skinny Love, this album includes 11 tracks that were all written by the teenager herself.
She has worked with the likes of Ben Lovett from Mumford & Sons and bass player Timmy C from Rage Against the Machine and the talented songwriter has also written a song for the movie franchise Hunger Games, called Just A Game.
"It’s been an incredible few years since I released my debut album back in 2011. I've been writing new songs and I'm so excited for people to hear them. They come straight from my heart."
The album is available to pre-order on iTunes and will be released on 23 September, but for now you can get a taste of her new sound with her new music video:
