Cape Town – A local comedy pop duo has posted a spot-on parody of Rebecca Black's infamous viral video hit Friday – with a distinctly South African flavour.
Nicholas Smal and Gareth Allison also known as Derick Watts & The Sunday Blues posted the video entitled Braaiday on Tuesday and has received overwhelming response from fans on both YouTube and on their Facebook fan page.
A post on their record label's site explains that the video sees the duo exploring "the joys of a good ol' South African braai, set to pop beats with authentic auto-tuned vocals to boot".
The track's release is just in time for South Africa's national 'Braai 4 Heritage' public holiday on September 24.
