CT Jazz fest kicks off with free show

Cape Town – A free Jazz music community concert will be held in Cape Town today.

The community concert is part of the build-up to the 12th Annual Cape Town International Jazz Festival.

The event will start at 17:00 at Green-Market Square and will feature some of the top headliners that will also be performing at the festival.

Acts the public will be able to see include Hanjin (China), Gang of Instrumentals (SA), Tortured Soul (USA), Tribe of Benjamin (SA) and the Cape Town Tribute Band (USA).

The Cape Town International Jazz Festival takes place on March 25 and 26 at the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC).

Although there will be road closures to accommodate the event , Metrorail will be operating on schedule with special late night trains to accommodate festivalgoers.
