Cape Town – The American Queen of Funk, Chaka Khan, is coming to South Africa in June for the DStv Delicious International Food & Music Festival.
Diva Chaka Khan, and the godfather of House, Louie Vega, will be on the stage at the food and music festival taking place at the Waterfall Polo Estate, Midrand in Johannesburg on Saturday, 6 June.
Culinary celebrities who will also appear include M-Net’s (DStv 101) MasterChef South Africa judge Pete Goffe-Wood, and the Food Network (DStv 175) stars Jenny Morris, Siba Mtongana and Reza Mahammad at the Food Network pavilion.
"DStv is excited and honoured to be the first to bring an iconic woman such as Chaka Khan to our shores in almost two decades," says Colleen Goodman, the head of retention for DStv. "Our subscribers can attest to the fact that she has been the soundtrack to their childhoods and many more memories. To see her live, surely is a life-long dream for many."
The DStv Delicious International Food & Music Festival will once again bring visitors fresh, locally-produced food in a gourmet food market and showcase new finds in food, street-chefs, food trucks and new food trends, while entertaining music lovers.
