Cape Town - Chantel VanT started off as the lead singer of the indie
rock band LA.VI, but then decided to explore her range and joined electro act Diamond Thug as the lead
singer.
Through collaborative projects and lending her voice, melody and lyrical
abilities to commercial recordings and acts lead to the establishment of a solo
project dubbed "Chantel VanT and Friends", a musical initiative
consisting of various talented local artists
lending their voices and musical talents to perform songs with the Chantel VanT
solo set.
This served as the perfect bridge into the
"Van T" solo set consisting of raw acoustic guitar ambience along
with her voice and self-written lyrics for her original songs.
