Chevelle confirm SA tour

Cape Town - American rock band Chevelle have announced that they will be performing in South Africa in June, almost two years after their previously cancelled South African tour.

Known for hits such as The Red, I Get It and Face to the Floor, the band from Chicago revealed the news on their official Facebook-page early on Tuesday morning.

In 2011, the band were forced to cancel their performances in South Africa to complete their sixth studio album, Hats off to the Bull, which resulted in another US rock band The Used stepping in as replacements for their scheduled gigs at Oppikoppi and Grand West Casino's Grand Arena.

Chevelle released a statement at the time expressing their regret to their South African fans, promising them a tour in the near future.

More information regarding the tour itinerary is yet to be released.
