Chris Brown gets Adele tongue-lashing

Los Angeles - Adele gave Chris Brown a firm tongue-lashing during the Grammy awards ceremony on Sunday evening, reports The Sun newspaper.

Chris Brown went up against fellow nominee Frank Ocean in a battle for the top spot in the Best Urban Contemporary Album category at the Grammys on Sunday, but ultimately lost to the newcomer.

While Frank has buried the hatchet after their brawl on 27 January outside Westlake Recording Studios, opting not to lay any charges, Chris is said to still bear a grudge against the singer.

Angered expression

As Frank was heading towards the stage during the ceremony to accept his award, the camera caught Chris refusing to join thousands of others around him, including Nicole Kidman and husband Keith Urban, as they stood to applaud Frank on his Grammy win.

Adele can also be seen glaring over to Chris with a rather disappointed expression on her face.

The Sun reports that Adele was not happy with Chris refusing to stand, and an image has since surfaced of the Skyfall hitmaker giving him a piece of her mind (above), right after Frank accepted his trophy.

E! News reports that whatever was said between Chris and Adele remains unclear, but the pair was later photographed together, smiling as they appeared to have settled their differences.
