Los Angeles – Coldplay released a new video for their single Hurts Like Heaven on Monday, giving a glimpse of their upcoming comic book series.
The video, directed by Mark Osbourne (Kung Fu Panda), is set in a dark dystopian world and is based on a six-part comic book series based on and named after the band's fifth studio album, Mylo Xyloto.
The video follows two graffiti artists who rebel against a dictator and his army. Near the end of the video the pair is separated when troops seize the boyfriend and they then inspire a young boy named Mylo to save the world.
The video serves as a prequel to Mylo's story in the comic book series, which is set to be released in February 2013.
